All people and products are connected, various knowledge and information are shared, and from right there unprecedented values and services will be created. In the new social system, the work style will change significantly and more than a half of the professions that exist today is expected to disappear. However, the fields of study to which the Takasaki University of Health and Welfare has engaged, such as “Food”, “Medicine”, “Welfare”,”Health” and “Education”, will remain indispensable to our live in any era. We will be expecting all high school students who will enter the university to explore these fields from a new angle and become the talent who will support the next-generation society.

What is Society 5.0?

Society 5.0 is a new concept of society which follows the Informatics Society (4.0), Industrial Society (3.0), Agricultural Society (2.0) and Hunting Society (1.0) that Japanese cabinet office formulated in the “Towards the 5th Science and Technology Basic Plan” as a future vision of the society to which Japan should aspire.

“Human Qualities” are essential to create new values.

The era of Human-Robot-Artificial Intelligence cohabitation is just around the corner. In order to create new value in the future society, we should cultivate the ability for problem-finding/solving and communication with others that only human beings can possess. An individual thinks about and practice what he/she can do for people and for society – it is exactly the essence of “Human Qualities” to be required in Society 5.0 and also corresponds with the spirit of “Jiri-Rita : Benefit self and Benefit others” – the philosophy of Takasaki University of Health and Welfare since its establishment. Takasaki University of Health and Welfare has made a new start as a comprehensive university with 5 faculties and 8 departments. We will be expecting that the university will help you acquire “Human Qualities” that contribute to people and society in any era.
